"On the Playing Field" Your Teammates

God gave us our athletic abilities for a reason: to glorify Him. If we have the drive and passion to excel in sports, we should also have the same passion to be star players on God's team. So, how do we play on the field to further the ultimate goal of Christ? Read on. (:

There are lots of ways to be a strong Christian on the playing field, but right now I am going to focus on relationships. Team members have a unique bond with each other. All the hard work during practices, time spent together on the bus to an away game or during breaks in a tournament, encouraging each other during games, and lastly, winning or losing together.

All this provides great opportunities to let your competitive friends know about the God who is always victorious! And if your team members trust you in a game and respect you as a player, they may be more willing to listen to you when God is brought into a conversation. As a Christian on the playing field always remember to glorify God and be looking for opportunities to make sure your teammates cross over the finish line into Heaven(:
